SNOWDEN HUNTING £20,000 IN BONUSES WITH £77,500 THOROUGHBID APRIL SALE PURCHASE

The ThoroughBid April Sale produced another exciting session of online bidding, headed by British pointer Midem de Berce, who was secured for £77,500 by bloodstock agent Tom Malone.
Consigned by Tom George, Midem de Berce made a winning debut in a point-to-point race at Maisemore in March and will now head to trainer Jamie Snowden at Folly House in Lambourn.
This winning British pointer is eligible for the £15,000 GB Pointing Bonus, as well as ThoroughBid’s £5,000 Point2Rules bonus, adding further appeal for his new connections.
Trainer Jamie Snowden said: “The horse that finished second in the point-to-point that Midem de Berce won at Maisemore earlier in March was actually Kapella Grey, a horse that is in our team. She was trained by Will Biddick to finish second and is also a sister to Wendigo, so we had a bit of a form line through that race.”
“I thought the winner was very impressive, and we felt we certainly wanted him in our team. Obviously, the purchase of this horse brings with it both the £15,000 GB Point-to-Point Series bonus for winning that race, as well as ThoroughBid’s £5,000 Point-to-Rules bonus, so the potential to win £20,000 back is rather enticing.”
Bloodstock Agent Tom Malone added: "We really liked the look of Midem de Berce. He's a big, raw, backward four-year-old who spent a bit of time in France, which stood him in good stead for his GB Bonus maiden in England. He bossed that race and looked a nice prospect.
"We had the second from that race at Maisemore too, which is now also in-training with Jamie Snowden, and we liked her so it was only right to be interested in the winner.
"He's got a nice page and I think we paid a fair price. Buying on ThoroughBid worked well for us and it was good fun to be bidding online. The process was very straightforward, he passed the vet and everyone is happy."
