Jul 20, 2022 · Mid-Summer Sale

It’s been a super summer so far for trainer Ralph Beckett.

Westover’s third in the Derby at Epsom was followed up by a winning effort in the Irish Derby, while back on British shores his filly Prosperous Voyage lowered the colours of Inspiral in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes.

There’s a good buzz around the Hampshire handler’s yard at the moment, and on Friday 22nd July, he’s represented by two lots in the ThoroughBid Midsummer Sale.

Here are his thoughts on the pair going under our online hammer:

POSTMARK (LOT 6) is a talented horse and we seemed to find the key to him last time out when dropping back to a mile.

He toughed it out well to win and is a nice prospect for whoever goes onto own him. He’s versatile in terms of ground, with form on good and slower ground, and he’s probably a dual-purpose horse in the making too.

His owners, The Audax Partnership, are a syndicate who are in the game to trade horses, so that’s the reason he’s going under the hammer.

As for SWEEPING STATEMENT (LOT 5), he’s a grand, big horse with plenty of size and scope. I think he’ll do a job under both codes for whoever buys him.

Bidding begins at 9am, Friday 22nd July, with lots finishing at two-minute intervals from 12pm. You must register in order to bid.
