BATTLEOVERDOYEN CATALOGUED FOR OCTOBER SALE
Oct 18, 2024 · October Sale
Friday 18th October, 2024 – The Gordon Elliott-trained BATTLEOVERDOYEN (Lot 24) is amongst 55 lots entered for ThoroughBid’s October Sale, for which bidding will take place from 9am-12pm on Thursday 24th October.
Last seen winning over fences at the fiercely competitive Galway Festival, the once 160-rated jumper is part of another exciting catalogue for racing’s online auction house.
Elliott has consigned 21 horses in total, including three-time hurdles winner SHESADREAM (Lot 28), recent winners LEADING LION (Lot 32), WUDYA (Lot 34) and NOTTODAYBOBO (Lot 38), as well as I A CONNECT (Lot 43), a runner at the Cheltenham Festival in 2022 and a multiple winner over fences and hurdles.
Henry de Bromhead’s ANNEXATION (Lot 45), a six-time winner and placed in Graded company, adds further National Hunt interest.
The Jim Goldie-trained BAEZ (Lot 31), prolific over staying trips on the Flat last season, enters the sale having last been seen in the Chester Plate, while last time out all-weather winner RENOIR (Lot 15) is another notable Flat horse-in-training.
The mixed catalogue also features broodmares, notably nine-year-old Authorized mare AMOURICE (Lot 54) who is being sold in-foal to Jack Hobbs.

CEO of ThoroughBid, James Richardson, said: “Our offer of Risk-Free Consignment continues to appeal, and we’re delighted to have assembled a catalogue of well over 50 lots.
“Battleoverdoyen is a horse that everyone will be familiar with. Having won last time out at the Galway Festival, he still looks to have something in the tank and should be a nice Saturday horse for new connections.
“There’s a host of horses-in-training across the Jumps and Flat available as well as a handful of nice broodmares, so hopefully something for everyone.”
