CORNELIUS LYSAGHT'S 5 TO FOLLOW

The Jumps are back!
So, I've spoken to a number of Britain and Ireland's to find out which of their horses we should be keeping an eye out for.
Shark Hanlon:
"There’s a lovely grey five-year-old by Jukebox Jury called HAWK’S ROCK that I bought after he finished second in a bumper at the Galway Festival that I really like. He’d run well on debut at Wexford as well, when staying on and wasn’t beaten far. The form has a solid look and he’s been doing all the right things at home. I’ll aim to bring him to Cheltenham for a bumper in November before going hurdling."
Olly Murphy:
"THERE RUNS MARY is a well-bred mare I’m very much looking forward to after winning a bumper first time out at Wincanton in January, with the first two well clear, and then finishing second under a penalty at Newbury. She loves soft ground and will start off in a mares’ maiden hurdle and we’re pretty hopeful she might be able to get some black type.
"We got LIRION from ThoroughBid’s March Sale (£60,000) after he ran well to be second in a bumper at Huntingdon for Tom Weston. This is a nice horse that I like who’ll probably have another run in a bumper before going novice hurdling and I can see him improving all year."
Paul Nicholls:
"Team Ditcheat has got loads of nice horses for the season ahead, and I’d say there is no one we’re looking forward to more than REGENT’S STROLL as he goes chasing. Although last season he won a maiden and novice hurdle and very nearly a Grade One at Aintree, when second behind Honesty Policy, he was a big immature horse, but has done really well during the summer. He can be a very smart novice chaser."
Mickey Bowen:
"WAY MAKER was purchased for two grand as a store and he’s has run in two bumpers and won both of them, at Bangor beating a couple of older horses impressively – after which Harry Redknapp bought into him – and then under a penalty at Stratford when made to work but seeing off another runner carrying a lot less weight. He’ll remain in bumpers and looks a nice prospect.
"We’ve had an brilliant summer, and it’s been a great start for me with the licence, with the horses and my brothers Sean and James all in great form. I’ve been really pleased to win races with ThoroughBid horses LA QUARITE (March Sale, £7,000), ASLUKWOODHAVIT (May, £5,000) and THEATRE OF FLIGHT (July, £10,000). It’s obviously a great way of buying and selling horses, all very easy, and I’m very pleased with it all."
David Killahena and Graeme McPherson:
[Graham McPherson] "David and I bought ANGEL OF MY DREAMS for £15,000 from ThoroughBid’s March Sale, and hopefully she’s one to follow. She’s by Jack Hobbs with plenty of success in the family and made all in a point-to-point bumper on good to soft at Bangor against decent opponents to win by six lengths, showing a nice turn of foot. She’s done really well for a break in the summer and the plan is to go for two or two and a half mile hurdles."
